Jesse Kelly is currently 40 years old and will turn 41 in 5 months. He was born in Steubenville, Ohio on July 20, 1981. At the age of 9, his family moved to Bazemore, Montana, where he completed his elementary and high school education before joining Montana state university.
His time at the University however was cut short when Jesse dropped out for undisclosed reasons. He is yet to complete his undergraduate program. In 2000, Jesse went on to enroll in the United States Marine Corps.
He was deployed to Iraq and he served as a sergeant between 2000-2004. He is known to have led a combat infantry squad in 2003 before being honorably discharged from the force in 2004.
After returning to the US Jesse took up a job in the family construction business, Don Kelly construction where he worked as a Project Manager.
In 2010, while still working in the family business, Kelly ran in the election for Arizona’s 8th congressional district.
He was successful in the Republican Party primary elections but was unlucky in the general elections where he lost by a small margin to Democrat Gabrielle Giffords.
In August of 2012, a special election was held in Arizona’s 8th congressional district after congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords retired.
Jesse ran in the election and was successful in the Republican primaries but was unable to clinch the seat after losing narrowly to Democrat Ron Barber.
